Statement from Our Online Partner
Welcome Statement from Christopher Geis
Director of Education, Christa McAuliffe Academy School of Arts and Sciences
I am confident that through our partnership, great things can be accomplished. The ability to give student-athletes a second chance to follow their dreams and empower them to excel in both academics and athletics to reach their goal of a college education and NCAA eligibility can be truly life changing for those individuals who take this opportunity seriously.
Here at Christa McAuliffe Academy School of Arts and Sciences, we look to "Touch the Future" and in partnering with East Coast Prep, we believe that student-athletes have the greatest opportunity to reach their potential in both academics and athletics.
Our online courses, which are research-based, interactive and engaging, in addition to our professional and caring instructor support, will help prepare your student-athletes to meet the NCAA Eligibility requirements and college entrance requirements. We are looking forward to our partnership with East Coast Prep for this year and on into the future.
East Coast Prep allows high school graduates who are academically ineligible to participate in collegiate sports due to their core GPA and standardized testing scores an opportunity to retake a core subject course and prepare for SAT/ACT while playing in a competitive conference setting. East Coast Prep and CMA School of Arts and Sciences expect each student athlete to work hard both on the field and in the classroom.
Rigorous instruction in the standard core subjects of English, Math, Social Studies. Science, and World Languages in addition to test prep significantly enhances the students' GPA and ACT/SAT scores while preparing them for a multitude of challenges in various collegiate disciplines.
East Coast Prep student athletes maintain a daily schedule which includes intense SAT/ACT Test Prep course work twice a day, improving study habits through daily time management skills lessons, and completing course work in a core course through our online partner Christa McAuliffe Academy School of Arts and Sciences.
