Alex Starzyk, 3 Year Starter with the Owls

As a freshman, Alex beat out veteran punters for the starting job and has remained a starter ever since. He's done a great job under pressure and has boomed the ball when most needed. In fact, Temple's head coach, Matt Rhule, says Alex is great for "flipping the field." As a freshman he was instrumental in the Owl's upset victory over #21 East Carolina, nailing five out of nine punts inside the 20 yard line.

Now in his junior year, he continues making big plays, and was named special teams player of the game against Stony Brook, nailing five punts for an average of 47.5 yards. Two of those punts were inside the opponent's three yard line.

In addition to his on field accomplishments, Alex has been named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. This is a player ECP can be very proud of.
