East Coast Prep Falls Short at Ithaca College 

            East Coast Prep suffered their second loss of the season in a close 29-28 defeat Sunday afternoon vs. Ithaca.  The Firebirds’ dominant rushing attack wasn’t enough to help deliver a victory in Ithaca, New York.  RB Tawee Walker (Peoria, AZ) had a career day with 266 yards rushing and 2 TD’s in a dominant effort.  WR Jahmiq Johnson (Plainsboro, NJ) had 2 TD’s receiving and WR Nyzair Smith (Dallastown, PA) had a career high 7 receptions on the day.  The balanced East Coast Prep attack accumulated 442 total yards of offense in the defeat.

            LB Will McKay (Leonardtown, MD) delivered 13 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble in a dominant performance.  LB Jayden Jerkins (Apex, NC) had 11 total tackles on Sunday.  DE Jamal Jones (Largo, MD), had 6 total tackles, 1 TFL, and 1.5 sacks on the day.  The stingy East Coast Prep passing defense accumulated 8 total pass break-ups. The Firebirds’ defense surrendered 222 yards passing and 123 yards rushing in their effort this past game vs. the Ithaca offense.
