(Orchard Park, NY) Peyton Nero (Fairhope, Birmingham, AL) started the scoring for ECP by blocking a punt and recovering the ball in the endzone for a TD early in the first quarter. On offense ECP amassed 138 passing yards and 266 rushing yards. Damon Phillips (East Orange, Orange, NJ) who led the team in rushing with 148 yards rushed to score the next TD for ECP. QB Coleman Teasdale (Centaurus, Lafayette, CO) was responsible for 5 TDs on the day. Teasdale rushed for one TD and threw to Peter Bibby (Bishop Hendricken, Johnston, RI) Luke Jones (Deerfield, Deerfield, IL), Dave Pardo (East Hartford, East Hartford, CT), and Elijah Smalls (Cedar Creek, Egg Harbor City, NJ) for touchdowns. ECP set up one the touchdowns with an interception. Another score for ECP was the result of a blocked punt. Josh Bertrand (Fayetteville Manlius, Syracuse, NY) and Matthew Whitney (North Kingston, North Kingstown, RI), each scored 4 PATs. ECP led the half with a ten-point lead. Avery Powell (St. Peter’s Prep, East Orange, NJ) and Emeril Mitchell (Winslow Township, Sicklerville, NJ) led the defense with a combined 14 tackles and 4 assists. The defense shut out ECC the second half. ECP is in action September 11th, when they travel to Springfield, MA to play the Western NE Golden Bears.
